What I Got for Christmas 2016

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone. Once again I was thoroughly spoiled by my friends and family for Christmas this year and who doesn’t love a good “what I got for Christmas” post, am I right? Let’s start with the non-beauty things I received. My brother got me this beautiful ring from Pandora that actually fits (which I struggle to find with my sausage fingers). I also received a few candles from Chapters and Bath & Body Works which I am always happy to receive. I also got a super cozy hat with a super cute fur bobble and a cute plaid scarf.  Now onto the beauty stuff! Which let’s be honest, was the majority of the haul. My brother’s girlfriend got me the Sephora Collection Face Mask Set which is perfect because I had been really wanting to try some sheet masks and I’ve heard good things about these ones. I also received the Too Faced Grande Hotel Cafe holiday set, which comes with 18 eye shadows, two blushes, a bronzer, a mini Better …

25th Birthday Haul

So last weekend I turned 25. That’s right, I am officially a quarter of a century old! I remember when I was younger I thought life would be so different at 25 but now that I’m there I still feel too young to do most things on my own and I’m constantly thinking “I need an adult!” However this post isn’t about my reservations about turning 25, but about what my family and friends (and a little present to myself) spoiled me with on my birthday. Let’s start with what my dear Shelby got me. This girl knows me too well and sent me into an excited tizzy when I opened them. First she got me an adorable bag charm from Skinny Dip London which is bright, fun and right up my alley. She then got me the Anastasia Beverly Mini Summer Lip Gloss Set which contains 6 mini tubes of lip gloss that smell like vanilla (YUM!). The colours are just perfect for summer but also will be great for fall and winter with those berry tones! …

Morphe Haul + Makeup Look

Whether you’ve used Morphe products or not you’ve definitely heard about them and probably sent a million “heart eye” emojis to your best friend when seeing their palettes – or is that just me? They’re affordable, highly pigmented and the quality is what dreams are made of! I thought I’d switch it up and put these new products to use and show you a bit of everything. In my latest order I picked up two eyeshadow palettes; 35T & 35O Matte and three face palettes; 9C, 9BZ & 9B. If you’ve followed my makeup looks you’ll know I’m a sucker for full on matte eye looks so the 350 Matte was a no brainer. The blend-ability and pigmentation of these shadows are perfect. While the shimmer shades in the 35T are buttery, smooth and the perfect pop to any makeup looks. As for the three face palettes all three really pack a punch. You definitely have to have a light hand with these powders. The 9C is the third contour palette I have tried and …

My makeup and skin care always does that dreaded thing, runs out ALL at the same time! Dry skin has always been my number one enemy so I thought I’d try out some new products. These Cover FX Drops seem like a great addition to any skin care prep before applying makeup. Of course, I also had to repurchase my trusty Caudalie Overnight Oil, this stuff is seriously amazing for leaving your skin soft and supple by morning. I, of course, had to treat myself to some new makeup as well. I’ve been dying to try these foundations from Clinique and Make Up For Ever after hearing such fantastic things about each. And, as a liner girl I finally picked …

New Year, New Makeup – Sephora & MAC Haul

So this all started with the thought process of new year, new makeup! Well, mostly I just wanted to do a little shopping… But who doesn’t love a good haul! Am I right? So let’s take a little look at some of the beauty items I’ve picked up in the past few weeks. Okay, so I went a little primer crazy. I’ve been using the Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer for a long time now and I still really love it, but my skin has been changing a little and I wanted to try some new ones! First I picked up the Too Faced Hangover Primer. I’ve heard good things about this stuff and after the first couple uses I think I’m going to really like it. I also picked up the little travel sizes of the Makeup Forever Matifying and Smoothing primers. My t-zone has been very oily and I’m looking for something to combat that and I’ve heard nothing but good things about these ones. Sticking with Makeup Forever products (which I have seemed to pick up …

Christmas 2015 Haul

I know these post can come off a bit like bragging, but if you love to be nosy like me you’ll be dying to know what everyone got from Santa this year so I thought I would share with you some of the lovely things my family got me. My mother definitely spoiled me this year, so I am very thankful to be able to receive such lovely gifts! Let’s talk about the stars of the show! First up are a couple of palettes I’ve been dying to own since they have come out. My brother bought me this Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit and this palette is even more beautiful in person than it is on the Sephora site. I’ve been dying to get my hands on some Hourglass products for ages now and this palette gives me a little taste of everything. Next up we have the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette. Now I know how much Shelby loves the original Chocolate Bar palette so when I saw this one I really wanted to try …

24th Birthday Haul

So I turned 24 last week! My birthday was lovely. I took the day off work then had a great meal at The Marc here in Edmonton with a few friends. If you live in Edmonton I definitely recommend checking out this restaurant – so delicious! On top of a lovely day I was definitely spoiled by my friends and family, so I thought I would share some of the lovely things they got me. Nike Roche Run FlyKnit Sneakers I had been wanting new gym shoes for a while now but I couldn’t justify buying myself a new pair when the ones I had were still in perfectly good shape, so I asked for some new ones for my birthday. My parents were lovely enough to get me the mint and neon yellow/green ones which I absolutely adore. They’re super lightweight and comfortable to wear, also give my feet great support. What more could I ask for in a gym shoe? I have always loved Nike sneakers, I wan them all! Urban Decay Naked 3 …

4X The Points? Yes Please!

I know what you’re thinking, ANOTHER Sephora haul? But really, who can say no to all those points especially when there are so many coveted items out there. A few of these things have either been sitting in my “loves” section crying for my attention or I saw great reviews on other blogs and just couldn’t say no, you know how it is right? Now everyone feel special because these came about four days ago and I haven’t touched them. The definition of beauty blogger problems if you ask me. Where to even start – when the Becca X Jaclyn Hill came out with “Champagne Pop” I was so excited but in the end decided against it. Don’t get me wrong its beautiful, but wasn’t in the budget that month. This month however was another story, so Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector in “Moonstone” was coming home with me . Now if you saw this post about five months ago you’ll know I fell in love with the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation but not so much the price tag. …

Sometimes You Should Treat Yourself

Sometimes you just can’t say no to those beauty guru induced purchase, after watching way too many hours of YouTube and a couple strolls through the drugstore I just had to pick up a couple products I’ve been dying to try. Some of these products are completely new to my collection and some are just repurchases I couldn’t live without. Hourglass Primer Serum Too Faced Soleil Matte Bronzer in “Milk Chocolate” Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion in “25L” Nars Lip Gloss in “Orgasm” Laura Mercier 500 Point Reward: Skin Face Polish, Radiance Bronzer Foundation Primer, Tinted Moisturizer, Lip Glace in “Nectar”, Matte Radiance Bronzer Tarte TarteGuard Sunscreen Lotion Guerlain Maxi Lash Mascara Fresh Rose Face Mask First I hit up Sephora thanks to Ebates and their 8% back email. I have been dying to try the Too Faced Bronzer ever since I read the reviews on how great it is for contouring, so obviously I had to give it a try. And, while I was on my bronzer high I heard way too many …

I’ve Spent How Much?!

The other day I received a Visa gift card and you know my thoughts when I received it – “I’m definitely hitting up Sephora!.” Also during that trip to Sephora I reached VIB Rouge and I was shocked that it’s only May and I’ve managed to already spend $1000! At the same time, I wasn’t really THAT surprised. I do love shopping at Sephora and honestly I’m surprised I hadn’t reached it sooner. So let me show you what I purchased that got me to VIB Rouge!
