April Beauty Favourites

I’ve been trying out a lot of new products lately and seeing as I haven’t done a favourites post in quite some time I thought I’d gather together a bunch of items I’ve been loving this past month and let you know all about them.

To start with the NYX Cosmetics Highlight & Contour Palette – this palette has eight amazing shades that work for every skin tone. My two favourite shades are Sculpt which is the perfect grey toned bronzer for creating shadows and Cream which I love to use under the eyes for extra brightness. This palette is highly pigmented and blends like a dream, not to mention the price tag is extremely affordable.

And, to go allow with this palette is my new favourite contour brush. The Morphe Brushes E34 Tapered Blush Brush – not only are Morphe Brushes affordable but the quality is amazing. This brush is extremely dense and has super soft bristles. The shape of this brush allows you to get that perfect contour every time.

I’ve been trying out a new brow shade lately and I’ve been loving it. Instead of a cooler tone, I’ve switched to something quite warmer. These two brow products are my absolute favourite. I actually couldn’t decide whether I liked the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in “Chocolate” or the NYX Cosmetics Microbrew Pencil in “Espresso” more. Both are easy to use, extremely pigmented and last all day long.

Just like every girl in the makeup world MAC lipsticks are some of my favourites; particularly their matte collection. This lipstick in “Honey Love” is my perfect nude. From formula, to pigmentation, to colour this lipstick is perfect and has been on repeat almost every day this month.

I tried this L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara years ago when I first started wearing makeup and honestly I hated it. I was checking out the drugstore aisles one day and I decided to give it another go. While it stills does everything I once hated, I now love it. For days when I want a fuller looking lash this is my go-to, it thickens your lashes without making them look messy or spidery. I especially like that even though it clumps, it doesn’t flake throughout the day.

Last but not least, my absolute favourite on the month. My new baby, the Violet Voss “Holy Grail” Palette. This palette is warm tone heaven. You can create any look with it from natural day time to smokey glam. The matte shadows in this palette are so buttery and blend-able and the shimmer shades are crazy pigmented. I knew the minute I saw this palette on Instagram I was going to need it, and while it is sold out at the moment I would sign up for preorder as soon as possible!
