Shelby and I were headed out again this weekend – I know, two weekends in a row! – and I wanted to do a look I hadn’t done before. So naturally I took to YouTube to find something to recreate. I remember watching Jaclyn Hill’s tutorial (which you can watch here) for this look and really liking it, so when I had it pop up again I thought I’d give it a go. I think my attempt turned out pretty good if I do say so myself! I don’t have Jaclyn’s intense blue eyes to make the colours pop as much but I think the look also suits my hazel ones. I paired the look with my favourite Koko “Mila” lashes and a pretty pink lip to keep the look a little softer. If you haven’t noticed I’ve been a real fan of the Colourpop Ultra Matte Lipstick in “Shimmy” lately. It’s the perfect pink!

  1. Great job re-creating Jaclyn’s look! Your eyeshadow is beautiful and I knew immediately the look you were inspired by, but I also like how you made it your own. Thanks for the photos. xoxo
