New In : Brow Powders, Brushes and More

NewBrowProducts

When I saw the Smashbox Brow Tech Shaping Powder on the Sephora site I was pretty intrigued. I’ve been slowly getting out of my ABH Dipbrow rut and starting to give more brow products a try. Since I’m lucky enough not to have to do a lot to my brows I thought I would start here. The applicator reminds me a lot like a liquid liner foam tip and it allows you to have complete control of where you place the product. I found with this product I managed to get zero fallout which from reading reviews is pretty rare. The only problem I found was that you can not brush it out. If you brush through the powder with a brush/spoolie it’ll leave your brows and surrounding areas looking muddy. Otherwise, pigmentation and formula is great and practice definitely makes perfect with this product so give it a try! – S.

Unlike Shelby I was not blessed in the brow department. My routine usually consists of either a brow pencil or a pomade (sometimes both!). Most people in the beauty know that Anastasia Beverly Hills produce some of the most used  brow products out there and I myself have always used the Brow Wiz and the Dipbrow Pomade, but when I saw the Sephora Collection Retractable Brow Pencil for half the price of the Brow Wiz I thought I would give it a try. I went for the colour “Rich Chestnut”. While the pigmentation is great this colour is a little too warm toned for my liking but I think if I picked a different colour this product is a great dupe! The comb on the end isn’t my favourite – I prefer a spoolie – but since I have my own that doesn’t bother me too much. The formula is also waterproof so that’s an added bonus. I definitely recommend trying this out if you are a fan of the Brow Wiz but want to save a little money. As for beauty tools though I definitely went with ABH. I picked up the #14 brush to use with my Dipbrow. I had tried so many other brushes before but now I’ll never go back. This brush is the best for creating those hair-like strokes and the spoolie on the other end is just so handy! – K.
