NYX has had a reputation of providing affordable, great quality products and we’ve been on the NYX bandwagon for a while now. Shelby and I first discovered this brand when Target first came (and sadly has now gone) to Canada and fell in love. Luckily we can still get NYX at London Drugs. I often recommend this brand to friends when they’re asking for affordable makeup options. NYX has some of the best drugstore makeup I’ve ever used so I thought I would let you know about my current favourites I’ve discovered over my relationship with NYX products.
First up has got to be the HD Concealer. This is by far my favourite concealer. It’s comparable to the Urban Decay Naked Concealer with it’s creamy consistency and bendability, however I find the Urban Decay concealer a little drying at times so I find myself reaching for this concealer the most. Plus at only a quarter of the Urban Decay price I’ll happily pick this stuff any day.
I love a good glossy lip and these Mega Shine Lip Glosses are some of my favourite. They have a ton of colours and they smell amazing! To go along with the theme of glossy lips my next favourite NYX products have got to be the Butter Glosses. These also come in a variety of very pigmented colours and also smell delicious.
I’ve decided to broaden my use of brow gels (aka don’t just use the L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper) and I thought there isn’t a better brand to try than the NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel. I have been using this for a while now and so far and it’s definitely become a favourite. It holds my brow hairs in place and doesn’t leave them feeling sticky or crispy.
My last favourite has to be the Matte Bronzer. Since these are matte they are great for contouring and packaging is really sturdy accompanied with a mirror. These work great for an all over bronze or just to carve out those cheekbones!
That about wraps up my favourite NYX products of the moment. I’m sure there are some I have forgotten because this brand is seriously just the best. Have you had an opportunity to try NYX products yet? If so what are your favs? Let me know in the comments!
