H&M Beauty Review

IMG_1864

When it was announced that H&M was coming out with any entire beauty range from skincare to makeup the beauty world went crazy. Obviously, I had to give it a try! Unfortunately the stands were a bit underwhelming, fairly empty and extremely disheveled so I grabbed what first came to my eye that was available. Some I’m fairly happy with, some not so much. Shall we get into it?

Lets start off with my absolute favourite, the Lip Definer which I picked up in Au Naturel. This lip liner is extremely creamy and easy to apply. It is the perfect peachy pink, your lips but better shade. I find these to be more hydrating than the average lip liner and they won’t bleed or feather throughout the day. They come in 10 shades varying from clear to purple/red, I’ll definitely be picking more up on my next trip.

Unfortunately not all their products lived up to the hype, case in point the Velvet Lip Cream Liquid Lipstick in Double Take. If you are planning a day of drinking, eating or I don’t know kissing this is not your liquid lipstick. This takes forever to dry and instantly transfers onto anything. Any light touching and this will be all over your face. If you want a great alternative in the same price range I would say pick up the Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lipsticks or the Revlon Matte Balms, both stay put and are way more hydrating!

When I picked up the Drama Cream Eyeliner in Gold Rush I was dying to try it immediately. I created this graphic liner look. Using the MAC 210 liner brush this product was a dream to apply. It’s a great mix between gel and cream and extremely pigmented. This product has incredible staying power it not only lasted all day but didn’t smudge in the slightest. If they had a larger colour selection I’d be running there right now to pick up more.

Have you tried any of the H&M range yet? Let me know how you got on in the comments below.
