The best part about being born in October is the holiday collections start to roll out and your birthday list begins. This Smashbox palette was in my “loves” on Sephora for about a month patiently waiting for my birthday and honestly if no one gifted me it, I would have bought it myself. Luckily my lovely brother and sister in law came through and I am now the proud owner of this master class palette. 6 Blushes, 2 highlighters and 32 eyeshadows, this palette is a beauty and perfect if you’re looking for something travel friendly.

I wanted to go for quite a smokier eye this time, using some autumnal colours of course. I thought orange and brown would be the perfect warm crease colours then last minute threw “Nutmeg” – a nice shimmery gold – on the lid. I knew I wanted to do a cat eye, but didn’t want it to be too intense against the brown. Instead of using my usual Kat Von D liner I used the L’Oreal gel then smudged it out with a grey shadow. I really liked the effect it gave, I forgot how much I used to love this gel liner as well so I’ll definitely be using it more.
