Drugstore Foundations First Impressions

I’ve been having a lot of fun trying out new foundations, first Armani Luminous Silk (which I love!) and then the L’oreal Infallible Pro Matte (which I double love!) so I thought I’d try a couple more drugstore products before I head into the higher end of things. So here’s my first impressions and look I did with both the Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Foundation & Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Smooth:

To see this entire look, click here – This foundation claims to make your skin better each minute you wear, I can’t say I 100% believe that. But, it does make your skin flawless at first application. The covered is medium but can be built to be full coverage without caking. The finish is somewhere between natural and matte but I found after about 5-6 hours it does tend to need touchups and a bit of Fix+ to blend back into your skin.Β This foundation does give a lot of shine in photos so it isn’t the best for occasions when you’re being photographed. But, all in all I do really like it for days when I’m not going for a full glam look.

To see this entire look, click here – This foundation is full coverage with a very dewy finish. It does make your skin look very smooth as you can see from the photo above, but I found that setting it with powder made it very cakey. If you’re looking for a more matte finish I would maybe try the “Matte + Powerless” finish they offer (which I’ll be doing next.) I will say the only downside to this foundation is the fact that it doesn’t come with a pump but if you can get past that and you’re looking for a flattering foundation that’ll make your skin glow this is for you!

Have you tried either of these foundations? Let me know how you liked them in the comments below!
