This is literally the post in which I eat my words, because I applied my foundation with a beauty blender! Now if you know me you’ll know I stand behind my love for a great flat top foundation brush. But I wanted my makeup to look airbrushed yet natural so a wet beauty blender seemed like a great option. I will be the first to say that I hated the original “They’re Real! Push Up Liner” when it first came out. It was stiff and hard to work with, but when they released the new colour range I knew I had to try it.
After seeing how brown the “Beyond Brown” shade was I fell in love. I first ordered the Kat Von D “Mad Max Brown” because we know how much I love that formula but unfortunately it wasn’t brown enough for my liking, so when Sephora had a sample of this Benefit one I decided to give it a go. Now I’m not sure if its just in my head or they really did change the formula but after trying it again I actually really enjoyed it and I can happily say its the perfect brown shade if you’re looking for a great matte brown to change up your black cat eye.
Now, in my haul post a couple weeks ago I mentioned my excitement for this Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Eye Stick and I can definitely say without a doubt the excitement is real. I’ve given it quite the test run and I’m so in love. Its perfect for just swiping a quick layer and blending out for a soft shimmer look. Or like I did in this look you can really pack it on and make it the star of your look. It is so versatile, I think it would even go on great as a highlight if blended correctly.
I’ve always loved mixing brown’s and pink’s together so when I got these two products I knew it was a must. I’m happy to say I’m in love with how the whole look turned out. It’s exactly what I had imagined.
