August 2015 Beauty Favourites

Well people, there goes another month. It’s so cliche to say but it’s crazy how fast this year is going! To me September means autumn and that sadly means summer is coming to a close. So with another month gone here are some of my top beauty products I’ve been using in August.

1. TRESemme Split Remedy Leave-in Conditioning Treatment

I chose to ombre my hair again a few weeks ago and with that comes bleaching my hair, and while I love they way it looks it does damage the ends quite a bit. So to try to prevent the frizzy fried ends look I’ve been using this leave-in conditioner and it’s been really helping. You put a few pumps of this after you towel dry your hair or you can even use a little on your dry hair if your ends are looking a little wild. I got this for $5 at Walmart so I would say that’s a pretty good deal to get healthy looking hair!

2. EOS Lip Balms

We’ve talked about how we love this lip balms a few times on the blog now and there’s a good reason for it, they’re the best. I got another great deal for this at Costco a while ago, 4 for $10! They are just so moisturizing and leave your lips feeling so smooth and lovely, plus they smell delicious and they last forever.

3. Stila Eyes are the Window Palette: Soul

I’ve raved on about this palette numerous times before, but I just can’t help it I just love it so much. I could use this palette everyday (and usually use at least one colour a day) and be satisfied. The colours are so pigmented, blend so nicely and the warm colours are exactly up my alley. You can make an everyday eye look to a full out glam look with just one palette. I’m obsessed! If you want to see this palette in action you can check out this makeup look here.

4. Ardell Lashes

This month I got into playing with false lashes a little more. I had always been a little scared to wear them, also I just could not win the battle to get them on properly. However, since Shelby took her makeup classes she gave me a few tips on how get those pesky lashes on (thanks girl!) and now I’ve really been enjoying wearing them. I’ve been wearing Ardell lashes the most. They have such a good variety of lashes, from very natural every day lashes  to full on in your face lashes for a night out.

5. L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Setting Spray

This spray is the best drug store spray I’ve found yet. L’Oreal has been really on their game lately and with the combination of this spray and their Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation I can’t get enough their products. I find when I use the spray my makeup lasts so much longer than when I don’t and the spray is such a nice mist compared to some of the other sprays. Its sold at most drug stores, I got mine at Walmart for only $15 and I think it’s just as good as the high end sprays. We did a review on this spray here.

6. BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector – Champagne Pop

Oh. My. This highlighter! I honestly can’t get enough of this product. You know when Jaclyn Hill is involved it’s going to be amazing. I use this ALL the time, although since it’s limited edition I should probably ease up or buy myself another one… The colour of this is so perfect for my skin tone and it makes my highlight game perfection. I also did a review on this product here if you want to see more about this product!

What products have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments!
