I have been collecting my “beautiful trash” for quite sometime now and most of these products I have done reviews with or incorporated into makeup looks. So I won’t go to in-depth into that instead I’ll link back to those posts if you want to read more about a certain item. But, today I want to tell you about the longevity of these products cause some of them really blew me away so lets get to it!
The two products in this post that have lasted me the longest are the Caudalie Overnight Recovery Oil and the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder. Now, believe me or not these two products have lasted me a year! A whole year! How crazy is that. The recovery oil is $52 which kind of threw me off before buying it but I took the plunge and am really glad I did. This stuff is AMAZING for moisturizing the skin, and the fact that it has lasted me an entire year you better believe I repurchased it. Now the brightening powder was given to me by my sister and from the first day I was in love and have not stopped using it. If you’re on the paler side and looking for something to wake up those dark circles this is the product.
Speaking of under eye circles, I’ve run out of the NYX HD concealer – I actually collected two empties of this and still have one on the go. A couple months ago I switched over to the Urban Decay Naked Skin Complete Coverage concealer and I’m beyond in love with that one. But if you aren’t willing to splurge the NYX concealer is amazing and if you ask me they’re a lot alike, which you can read about that here.
If you follow the blog closely you’ll know the Laura Mercier primer is my holy grail. I have tried both the original – which is good – and the hydrating version – which is AMAZING. I can’t see myself switching primers anytime soon. Again, for more on this product you can click here. I can say this will be repurchased a million times over, one tube of this lasts me a good 4-6 months so its definitely worth the higher price tag.
I received the Revlon Bold Lacquer mascara in an Ipsy Glam Bag, and I will say it was good. I can’t say I’d repurchase it, because it definitely didn’t beat out my CoverGirl Lashblast! I found the Revlon was more of a dry consistency and it just didn’t fan out my lashes the way I like. I have also move onto the new CoverGirl SuperSizer mascara as well as the Buxom mascara so I will be taking a break from Lashblast, but I cannot recommend it enough.
And, last but not least the Marcelle Quad Bronzer, this product lasted me a good nine months. Of course I was testing out other bronzers as well but I’d highly recommend this. For a drugstore product it is a bit on the higher end of the price scale, but for good reason. You can use this to bronze or contour so you’re basically getting a 2-in-1. If I didn’t have so many bronzers on the go this would definitely be on my repurchase list.
