If you’ve been reading YM&W for a while now you’ll know how in love I am with the CoverGirl+Olay Simply Ageless foundations. With summer rolling in and the heat wave we’ve been experiencing here in Edmonton I’ve been experimenting with a little less coverage. I’ve always been a full coverage kind of girl, so this is way out of my comfort zone. Not only have I been love it but so has my skin so I thought I’d let you in on my perfect summer bases.
1. CoverGirl+Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation: Krystin and I have talked about this foundation in a couple posts, for a full review you can click here. This foundation acts as a tinted moisturizer but gives you more coverage. Its blends well, keeps your skin hydrated all day and looks completely natural.
2. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15: This foundation is the newest to my collection but I’ve loved it for days when I know I’ll be out running around and need that extra coverage. I’m also prone to burning so that extra SPF is a nice addition to your summer skin collection.
3. Bare Minerals Rescue Complexion Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream: Now thats a mouthful and just a fancy way to say tinted moisturizer to be honest. I’ve tried a million tinted moisturizers and hated them all until this one came around. This also comes with SPF 30 which is great for summer and leaves you with a radiant-dewy finish which is nice for dry skin girls like me.
4. Urban Decay Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish: Now this is something I never thought I’d give a try until my teacher taught it in class. As I said before I am all about the full coverage life but when I saw her demo this I was sold. This method also only works if you like the look of your skin as well because you are only applying the concealer where you need – for most people; nostrils, under eyes, chin and forehead – and then adding a little more coverage with the pressed powder. I know I’ll be using this method a ton this summer.
