Hello Everyone, Shelby here. I realize I’ve been a little MIA lately, but with 1 trip, 1 road trip and a nasty cold under my belt I am back and ready to tell you all about it. If you couldn’t tell by the name of this post of the picture above, my first trip was to Winnipeg to see the On The Run tour. I went with my lovely friend, Kelly. We spent the two days before trying to figure out what to do in Winnipeg and honestly, I’m still not sure what there is to do. We stayed at The Fort Garry Hotel, which luckily was by a local attraction called “The Forks” so we spent a little bit of each day there looking around the farmers market and checking out the surroundings. We also had dinner each night at our favorite restaurants Earl’s because when you’re unfamiliar with an area always go where your familiar? We also got lucky and found a Starbucks nearby for our morning coffees. The night before the concert we did check out our hotel lounge for drinks and live music, supposedly it is known for having the best ceiling in Winnipeg and when googled is on many lists of “top places to go in Winnipeg” which made it an easy and convenient choice. But all in all it was a pretty good fast trip!
I think Kelly would agree with me when I say this is the best concert I’ve ever been to, I didn’t want to miss a minute of it. Between Beyoncé’s amazing showmanship and Jay Z’s perfect rhythm not to mention their chemistry on stage (divorce rumours? I can’t see it!) I could not keep my eyes off them. It was a nonstop concert with 43 songs performed. I don’t think either of them took more than a 30 seconds break, it was amazing to say the least. I had never been to an outdoor stadium concert before either, which made this concert pretty unique and also terrifying with the weather changing constantly. Luckily our tickets said “in rain or shine” which is exactly how we felt about it, and I’m sure the 33,000 other people would have agreed. If you saw them in Winnipeg or any other cities comment below and let us know what you thought.
